Project Overview
Green FAJ Solution Limited is supporting the implementation of the CARE Sierra Leone Strong Foundation Project through the construction and installation of integrated solar-powered water supply, irrigation and climate-resilient greenhouse infrastructure in Port Loko and Pujehun Districts. The project combines renewable energy, water abstraction, storage and distribution systems with efficient agricultural irrigation and protected crop-production facilities. The intervention is designed to provide reliable and sustainable water access for farming communities, strengthen dry-season agricultural production, improve water-use efficiency and enhance resilience to climate variability. The works also include associated civil, mechanical and electrical installations, system testing and commissioning, beneficiary training and final handover.
Scope of Work
- Site assessment, mobilization, surveying and setting-out of project infrastructure
- Development and installation of borehole and water-supply infrastructure
- Supply and installation of solar-powered water pumping systems
- Installation of solar PV panels, mounting structures, controllers and electrical accessories
- Construction and installation of elevated water-storage tanks and supporting structures
- Installation of HDPE water-distribution pipelines, fittings, valves and control points
- Construction and installation of agricultural irrigation systems
- Supply and installation of climate-resilient greenhouse structures
- Installation of greenhouse irrigation, ventilation and associated production infrastructure
- Construction of foundations, trenches, chambers and other associated civil works
- Integration of renewable energy, water-supply and irrigation infrastructure
- Mechanical and electrical installation works
- Pressure testing, leakage testing and operational verification of water systems
- Testing and commissioning of solar pumping, irrigation and greenhouse systems
- Implementation of quality assurance, environmental, health and safety measures
- Training of beneficiaries on system operation, routine maintenance, irrigation and greenhouse management
- Preparation of completion, commissioning and handover documentation
